  1. Community Town Hall Suppers:

    Thursday July 21, 2011 at Boscobel Bowling and Banquet, Boscobel, WI

  2. This one will feature a prescription drug round up, a speaker who will share the dangers and the frequency of youth using prescription drugs, bowling and supper. This will also be a recognition supper for our wonderful volunteers! Come with your whole family and enjoy an evening on us!

  3. Plunges:
  4. The Plunge is an innovative approach designed to immerse participants into the depths of the problems, causes and consequences of underage drinking and underage drinking and driving. During the Plunge, students will witness a mock underage drinking and driving accident, follow the “victims” and their “families” to the emergency room, the funeral home and then to the courthouse. The day will end with a guest speaker and question and answer time. Grant County 8th, 9th and 10th graders will be invited to attend next years Plunge!

  5. Coffee and Share Hours
  6. Small gatherings of community members to discuss the alcohol, tobacco and other drug concerns they have for their area youth and what can be done about it. These can be done anytime there is a group of concerned community members who want to meet with us. Contact us today to set one up!

  7. Wellness Promotional Activities
  8. We have exciting display booths with give-aways to add to any wellness event. Contact us today to invite us! Here’s a list of items we often have at our booths:

    • Beer Goggles:
    • A pair of goggles that stimulate how a person under the influence of alcohol sees. Participants are asked to walk a straight line or play a game of perfection
    • Pig lungs:
    • A clean set and a set that show the effects of tobacco usage. Kids love this one!
    • Movies:
      • "This Place”
      • Shows the consequences of alcohol on society and communities and offers suggestions on how to create a drug free community.
      • “Just call me Crash”
      • A horrific story of a model who is involved in a drunk driving crash who lives and now faces the daily challenges of having a mutilated face.
      • “Which Brain”
      • Shows the affects of alcohol on the brain of a teenager.

    Display boards about affects alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other drugs. Safety information such as seat belt usage importance, car chips program, and drunk driving solutions.
